Hi Lauren, welcome to planDisney,
I see you working long hours to plan a memorable trip to Walt Disney World Resort. I'm glad you've discovered
Enchanting Extras Collection experiences, which are a great way to plus an already magical vacation. I hope to book a Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert party this week for my January visit. It's going to be a Christmas present for my in-laws (shhh, don't tell!) and I can't wait to see them get treated like the royal family they are.
Several of the Enchanting Extras Collection Experiences, including
Savor the Savanna at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, open for reservations at midnight 60 days in advance. My personal experience can confirm that the time is 12:00 a.m. on the dot. My personal experience can also confirm that reservations for popular activities can fill up over 60 days in advance. That's because Guests with Disney Resort hotel reservations have the distinct advantage of being able to book reservations for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days) 60 days before their check-in date.
Even with the Disney Resort hotel advantage, I was unable to book the Up Close With Rhinos Tour for my family's recent spring break visit. What the Up Close With Rhinos Tour and Savor the Savanna have in common is the fact that they are only offered once a day for a relatively small number of Guests. That exclusivity is highly desirable in terms of the experience, but not so much in terms of reserving the experience.
My best tip for securing a coveted reservation for Savor the Savanna, Lauren, is to risk turning into a pumpkin and stay up until midnight 60 days in advance. If there's still no availability, just keep checking. Reservation availability changes in real time as Guests are constantly reimagining their park days.
I sincerely hope the wish your heart makes for premier access to Harambe Wildlife Reserve will come true, Lauren. Savor the Savanna is on my Disney bucket list, so
let me know how it goes!
Plan magic; planDisney.
