I have reservations (resort and tickets) aug 1-6 without travel ins. Due to the recommendation of not traveling to Fl, we are alittle iffy right now. What would my penalty be to cancel?

    Hi there, Kari!

I’m delighted to welcome you to planDisney!

I completely understand you wanting to really think about your options before making a final decision about your plans. Putting your family’s safety and health most certainly comes first. Depending on your reservation type, you may be able to reschedule your visit to a later date. The magic of Walt Disney World Resort will be here for you when you’re ready to embark on your incredible adventures once again!

Kari, it sounds like you have a Disney Vacation Package. If you cancel within 29 days to 2 days prior to your arrival date, there is a $200 penalty per room. If you need to cancel your reservation 1 day prior to your arrival, the vacation package is non-refundable. However, you can modify your reservation to a later date if you’d rather do that. You can book up to 500 days in advance, so you can push it back that far if you’d like. Keep in mind for Disney Resort Hotel Package bookings, changes made within 30 days of arrival may incur a $50 change fee per package. If you’d like to discuss this further, feel free to speak with a Cast Member at Disney Resort Hotel Reservations!

Meanwhile, I would encourage you to keep an eye on the Returning to a World of Magic page as you will find all the latest updates and steps being taken by Walt Disney World Resort to help keep the health and safety of Guests and Cast Members a priority.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the magic when the time is right, Kari!
