    We have reservations for the POR in October (myself, husband and 5 & 6 yo girls. The free disney plan is not available for this hotel, but the Caribbean is. Is it worth the switch for the Free Dining?

    Hi Amy! Both Port Orleans Riverside (POR) and the Caribbean Beach Resort are great moderate resorts. We love spending time at Downtown Disney, so I prefer Port Orleans for the convenience of the boat ride there. But, that is if everything was even and costs were the same. Not knowing if you booked POR through a special, I would get a price quote for Caribbean Beach. Free dining is an awesome deal, and usually means substantial savings for a family of four. If this is the case, I would definitely switch resorts! The pools and rooms at Caribbean Beach have been updated, and the main pool area is awesome. Be sure to look into this right away though, as the number of rooms for special offers is limited and they tend to fill up quickly.
