Hi Katrina!
You're going to love the
Disney Skyliner! I recently had the opportunity to travel through the skies to Disney's Hollywood Studios via the gondolas and I enjoyed every minute. The aerial view as you arrive at the park is amazing, especially the view of the spires of Batuu at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Many of the Disney Skyliner gondolas are decorated with our favorite Disney, Pixar, Marvel, AND Star Wars characters too. Keep an eye out and see who you can spot!
Generally, the hours for the Disney Skyliner mimic those of
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. This means it will start approximately 30 to 60 minutes prior to the earliest park opening in order to help guests arrive in time for early morning touring. The Disney Skyliner will continue to operate for approximately 60 minutes after park closing as well. Hopefully, this allows you plenty of travel time.
One consideration to keep in mind is the new
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance process for boarding groups. To secure a boarding time, you will need to be physically in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Since this ride is brand-new and very popular, you'll want to be inside the park at opening (they'll allow guests into a small contained area a bit prior to official opening). Once the park officially opens, you can join a boarding group. Be sure to allow extra travel time to accommodate this process if you're interested in experiencing this attraction.
For back-up transportation plans,
bus transportation will also be available for guests. When the Disney Skyliner is not in operation, buses will be running approximately every 20 to 30 minutes from your resort to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. When the Disney Skyliner is in operation the buses will be reduced to every 60 minutes. The
My Disney Experience mobile app is the best place to keep an eye on transportation options, including the approximate bus arrival times for your resort.
