We have reservations at Polynesian for a Standard Room with the Dining Plus Plan? There are 2 adults and 3 children in our party. Is it worth it to spend the extra money to add the Club Level?

Hi Cathy! I'm a big fan of staying on the club-level at the Disney deluxe resorts. I love the convenience of having my coffee and a continental breakfast waiting in the lounge in the morning and cold drinks and snacks available for me to grab as I'm heading to and from my room. My husband and I enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine after a day at the parks, and it's helpful to enlist the services of the itinerary planning office to secure a hard-to-get dining reservation. It's such a treat to return to our room at night and find the beds turned down and chocolates on the pillows. At the Polynesian Resort, the club-level rooms have a great location near the pool, and the food and drink offerings in the lounge are quite generous.

I think whether these perks of concierge are worth the extra cost is a question whose answer will differ for each family. If your family stays at the parks from morning to midnight and won't be at the hotel for breakfast and the evening appetizers, or if you prefer to eat all your meals at restaurants or do all your trip planning yourself, it would probably not be worth it.

When I'm booking my rooms at Disney, I generally look at the difference in price between a standard room and a club-level room. Then I estimate what my family would spend on breakfast, snacks, evening drinks and appetizers if we weren't staying on the club level. I generally do not buy the Dining Plan when we stay club-level because of the resort food offerings.  Although the club-level rooms cost more, I've often found that we spend less on food when we stay club-level, so the overall trip cost is about the same. For us, paying a little extra for club-level is worth the added relaxation and luxury. For others, it might not be.

Hope this helps you make your decision. Have a magical trip!
