Hello! My DS and I have reservations @ 8:50am for Ohana on 8/29. Plan to take monorail but not sure if we should take it from Epcot or MK. Which park is closer to POR? Thanks. :)

    Aloha Maegen!

Your vacation will be here before you know it!  'Ohana is one of my very favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World and the breakfast there is my kids' top pick for a character meal, so you're in for a tropical treat.  I'm so glad you asked about transportation, because there are some adjustments to the monorail schedule that just started recently that could impact your transportation plans.  The Magic Kingdom Resort monorail beam won't start running until 8:30 a.m. during your vacation dates, which would be cutting it awfully close for an 8:50 a.m. breakfast reservation (and the Epcot monorail beam won't start running until 9:00 a.m., which would get you there too late).  What I'd recommend instead is taking a bus from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside to Magic Kingdom, where additional buses and watercraft will be available to get you to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.  I'd recommend giving yourself an hour to get from the resort to 'Ohana.  All beams of the monorail should be up and running by the time you're done with breakfast, so you can still look forward to a chance to "stand clear of the doors" after you dine with Stitch if you're a fan of riding the monorail just for fun, like I am.

Wishing you a most magical vacation, Maegen!  Please let us know if you have any other questions as you make your plans.
