Hello! Have reservations for the new Villas at the Poly opened yet? And if not do you have a time line?

Hi there, Marie! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney. I'm happy to help with your vacation planning question, and maybe sprinkle a bit of extra pixie dust along the way. Let's make some magic!

Marie, you must be reading my mind, because I too have been anxiously awaiting an announcement of the opening date for the new Disney Vacation Club tower at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! We're happy to call the Polynesian our DVC Home Resort--there's nothing better than hearing a friendly "Aloha" every time we vacation there!

The construction at the new tower is moving right along. We've visited Walt Disney World Resort several times recently, and it's exciting to see the building taking shape. The views of Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom Park are sure to be spectacular!

I checked with the friendly folks at Member Services to see if they had any updates, but as of now DVC has not announced a definite opening date for the new tower, so reservations are not available. I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for an announcement, as well as the DVC Instagram page. Both are great sources for breaking Disney news!

While we wait, let me recommend some planDisney-approved activities that are sure to add some magic to your next trip to the Polynesian!
    • Take advantage of the Poly's lakefront location and charter a pontoon boat for a relaxing outing on the water with your group. Reservations aren't required, but it's a good idea to make one if you're hoping for a specific date or time.
    • Hop the monorail for a meal at the soon-to-be-reopened 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! I'm so excited to return to this family favorite restaurant, and there will be some new friends to meet, too--Mirabel, Tiana, Aladdin, and Cinderella are all in the lineup.
    • Don't miss my favorite meal at the Polynesian--breakfast at Kona Cafe! This is our family's check-out day tradition. The Macadamia Nut Pancakes are amazing!
Although I couldn't give you an exact timeline, Marie, I hope this information was helpful. Thanks again for stopping by, and please don't hesitate to visit our planDisney 'Ohana again any time!

    Stay Magical!
