Hello Kristin!
We're so glad to have you back at planDisney! As a frequent visitor to
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, I'm charmed to chat about this magnificent destination.
I last stepped into the Grand's grand lobby 2 weeks ago, and was thrilled to see all
the fresh decor firsthand. The floral-covered carpet is beautiful, the new upholstered furniture is cozy and inviting, and
The Perch lobby bar is a practically perfect nod to the birdcage that previously adorned the space. We missed last call by a few short minutes, but I'll be back soon to sample the cocktail menu.
Just beyond all these gorgeous enhancements, a scrim was still in place covering the much-anticipated
Garden View Lounge. Like you, I'm anxiously awaiting more details of the reopening and new whimsical tea experience. Disney Parks Blog shared that it would return in early 2026, so I'm keeping a close eye on the blog and
Disney social channels for more updates. In my experience, guests usually have a bit of a warning before reservations become available, so stay at the ready to secure your reservation!
In the meantime, you'll find a lovely tea experience over at
The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant on Disney's BoardWalk. I have yet to experience their
Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea service myself, but their breakfast and lunch menus are divine, as are the assorted cocktails, teas, and cakes, of course. Don't miss their Black Swan if you're looking for a bit of a caffeinated pick-me-up, or try their Ruby Rosé Blush & Bubbles if you want to sip more of a citrus bubbly blend. The seasonally themed decor will keep you feeling positively tickled pink, and maybe a bit shimmery too, as most of their food and beverage items are accessorized with a bit of edible glitter.
Kristin, I hope this helped. Keep your eyes on
Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates, and please don't hesitate to visit us again here with more questions.
Magic and memories,
Amy
