Hi there, Kristen, and welcome to planDisney from a fellow resident of the Bluegrass State! You'll be heading to the Sunshine State in a few weeks, so let's talk about booking
Enchanting Extras for your
Walt Disney World Resort visit.
I'm sorry to hear Donald keeps "ducking out" on you. I typically see Stitch eating the page when I'm having technical difficulties! Sometimes, logging out and back in clears that up, and I've also cleared my history and cache with good results. Donald often pops his head in when the site is busy, so you might have better luck soon.
Another tip is to try to book on the My Disney Experience mobile app. For booking an Enchanting Extra, tap the search icon at the bottom of your screen and enter the name of the experience. If it's bookable on the app, you'll tap the blue "Check Availability" button. If you've tried all that with no luck, let's dig a bit deeper.
Disney Resort Hotel guests can book dining and many Enchanting Extras
60 days before arrival, and they should be able to book for the length of their stay up to ten days. If you're booked at more than one resort, that's called a split stay, and you can probably only book for the length of that first resort. If that's the case, consider booking those experiences earlier in your visit or try again when you're 60 days from the second hotel reservation.
I checked availability for
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Seats & Sweets in late April and saw open spots. I also checked the
Horse Drawn Excursion - Carriage Ride at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and saw availability for that experience. So if you've tried troubleshooting and still cannot book, I suggest calling the
Tours, Recreations line for assistance. The Cast Members can see your reservation information and help you book experiences if available.
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour is one of my favorites from the Enchanting Extras Collections. This five-hour walking tour is perfect for any Walt Disney fan because it's full of facts and trivia about his life and his passion for his theme parks. Our tour guide took us "backstage" for a glimpse behind the most magical curtain on Earth!
Kristen, I hope you and Donald Duck can make up and be friends! Maybe I'll see ya real soon in Kentucky. Go Cats! Or Cards! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
