    Hello I have reservations in May at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney for 6:45pm. We will be spending the day at Animal Kingdom and wondering how much time we should allow ourselves to get to our dinner on time?

    Hi Rachel!

    It sounds like you're planning a great day! Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite places and the House of Blues is a super-fun venue!

    The first thing to note about traveling to Downtown Disney from Animal Kingdom using Disney transportation is that the buses do not run directly between the two. You'll need to first travel to a resort, and then change buses. The quickest route will most likely be to take the bus from Animal Kingdom to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Once you arrive there, you can hop on a bus to Downtown Disney. Other good choices of resorts to change buses at are either of the Port Orleans Resorts. I would suggest leaving Animal Kingdom by 5:15 or 5:30 at the latest.

    If you'd prefer a quicker and more direct route, you could choose to use a taxi. Of course, this is an out of pocket expense, but a good option to keep in mind if you're running late.
