Hi. I have reservations for Lion King Tier I this coming Saturday. Instead of leaving the charge on my credit card, can I pay with gift cards when we arrive???

Hi, Julie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for bringing your question to us! I have not been able to experience this wild new offering at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, but I am hoping to this fall. Festival of the Lion King is one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort shows, and Tiffins Restaurant is such a delicious complement to the dining package.

When guests book a reservation for the Festival of the Lion King Signature Dining Package, prepayment is required. However, I have great news for you! Upon arrival at Tiffins Restaurant for the delicious part of the event, you may speak with the Cast Member serving you to have the initial charge refunded and swapped to an alternate payment method. This refund will go back on the original credit card used to secure the reservation. I just spoke with a wonderful Cast Member about this and was assured that Disney Gift Cards are accepted for this event and they will be able to swap the charge to this other payment source. Please keep in mind that the credit will not show up immediately in your account. In my experience, it usually takes a week or so for credits to appear on my account.

Thanks again for stopping by today and please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventures!
