When I make our reservations for the hotel will Disney send us information like Maps? or do I need to order the planning video.? We are taking our two year old son and I would like to get an idea where everything is before hand.

    Hi Felisha,

I would certainly order the free planning video from Disney. There's obviously no cost and it's a great way to get an overview of all the things to do. You can also order a free map from Disney; it's not very detailed, but again, it's free. Beyond that, there's not much you'll get related to planning from Disney.

There are, however, loads of planning resources available from other sources. I suggest starting with a few good books. You can order these from Amazon or get most at your local library. Some of the best are Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, Passporter's Walt Disney World, and The Complete Walt Disney World.

Online, try checking out the websites AllEars.net, InsideTheMagic.com, TouringPlans.com, DisneyFoodBlog.com, and MouseSavers.com. These are all great at covering various aspects of park planning.

I also suggest reading through several dozen (or more) questions here on the Moms Panel. They may spur additional questions that we can assist you with.

    Happy planning!
