Howdy, ShaunTara, and thank you for stopping by planDisney on your way to Walt Disney World Resort. Taking a leisurely carriage ride around
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside sounds like a dreamy way to see some gorgeous Florida scenery, so let's talk about the details.
Laissez les bons temps rouler!
It sounds like you're planning to drive to the resort, so be sure you have your reservation information handy to show the guard attendant. They will direct you to a parking spot based on lot capacity, but typically, guests park in the lot near the main lobby.
You'll walk through the reception area to the marina just outside. Head to the
Riverside Levee Bike & Boat Rental to check in about
15 minutes before your reservation. Your carriage awaits!
I'm not sure what your plans are before and after your magical ride, but if you're at Disney Springs earlier in the day, you can board a
complimentary water taxi there that will take you to the Port Orleans - Riverside marina. You can enjoy your trail ride and then head back to
Disney Springs for more shopping and entertainment.
If you'll be at a theme park, you can take complimentary
bus transportation to Port Orleans - Riverside. The bus will drop you off near the main lobby. When I'm at Disney, I love letting someone else do the driving; I'm on vacation!
Guests with dining and recreational reservations can usually park at a resort for a couple of hours. After your carriage ride, my tip is to stop by
River Roost Bar for a fun drink. Their Andouille Nachos look like something Tiana herself would make!
ShaunTara, I hope your carriage ride is fit for a princess! Please let
planDisney help anytime you have questions. I'll just be over here kissing a few frogs...
Magic awaits,
Elaine
