Hello! We have reservations at 9am on 11-18-18 Happy Birthday Mickey! At The Crystal Palace in MK..our lodging is The Boardwalk Inn...what is the suggested departure time and recommended transportation not to be late for our reservations?. Thanks! Linda

    Hi Linda,

How exciting that you'll be AT Magic Kingdom Park on Mickey's birthday! Did you see the Disney Parks Blog article earlier this year about all of the fun celebrations that are planned?

Starting your day with breakfast at The Crystal Palace with Pooh and his friends will not only be magical, but mmm...you'll find delicious breakfast options, like an omelette station and my very favorite...Mickey Waffles! Magic Kingdom Park is scheduled to open at 9:00 a.m. that day, so you should have no trouble getting there on time. While Guests will likely be allowed on Main Street U.S.A. prior to the official opening, there will be a special gate for Guests with early morning breakfast reservations.

Bus service officially begins operating 45 minutes before the theme park opens, but I've found that they're usually running earlier than that. You may always check at the front desk or with your Resort hotel Concierge to see what time buses will begin running in the morning. And did you know that the My Disney Experience app now shows bus arrival times? I LOVE that feature! Your bus ride from Disney's Boardwalk Inn to Magic Kingdom Park should take around 15 - 25 minutes, plus you'll want to allow some time to go through security and ticketing once you arrive. Don't forget that they'd like you there 15 minutes before your reservation time, so I'd suggest leaving your hotel no later than 8:00 a.m. If you'd prefer, a Minnie Van is another (super adorable!) option for you!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Linda, and have a truly magical...and delicious...vacation!
