Hello, Brenda, and welcome to planDisney! Get ready to pack your Lederhosen and raise a stein as your adventure awaits.
Prost!The
Biergarten Restaurant in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion is a timeless favorite of mine, offering German cuisine and lively entertainment that transports you straight to a Bavarian village celebrating Oktoberfest year-round. With twinkling lights, a full-sized water wheel, and the charming backdrop of an outdoor courtyard, you’ll feel like you’re dining in
Deutschland, and no passport is required!
Now, onto the main event, which is the entertainment! The lively oompah band performs throughout the day, treating Guests to traditional German music, bell ringing, Alpenhorn playing, and plenty of accordion fun. While the official showtimes aren’t posted and can vary, past performances have occurred at:
• 1:15 PM
• 2:15 PM
• 3:15 PM
• 4:45 PM
• 5:55 PM
• 7:00 PM
• 8:05 PM
Since the band takes the stage approximately once an hour for a 20-25 minute set, you’re practically guaranteed to catch a performance during your meal. Just be ready to clap, toast, and maybe even sing along!
As for the food, let’s just say you’ll want to bring your appetite. The buffet features favorites like bratwurst, schnitzel, spätzle, and pretzel rolls (perfect for dipping in the delicious cheese and beer soup). My youngest son, a self-proclaimed picky eater, found plenty to enjoy, so there’s truly something for everyone. And whatever you do, save room for the apple strudel with vanilla cream sauce!
If you still have room (or at least a little extra space in your park bag), I highly recommend stopping by
Karamell-Küche to watch the caramel popcorn being made. Just follow the heavenly smell! I always grab a treat to go, and the Gingerbread Salted Caramel Buttercream Cookie is my personal favorite. And don’t forget to check out the charming model train village nearby, complete with tiny festival flags waving in the breeze.
I hope this helps you plan a
wunderbar evening at Biergarten, Brenda!
Auf Wiedersehen,
Eean
