Should I make reservations at Disney World Resort first, before buying our 4-day passes? I'm wondering if there are special packages and discounts if I do both together?

    Hey Howdy Hey Priscilla!

Welcome to planDisney!  Oh boy, oh boy, it looks like you're planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort very soon!  It may seem a bit overwhelming when you're trying to figure out where to start, but just say "Hakuna Matata!"  I'm happy to walk you through some of the different options available when booking your vacation.

Priscilla, I always recommend checking out the current special offers when starting to plan a visit.  Sometimes you can find the best savings when you book tickets and room together.  This creates a vacation package and includes some special Magical Extras unique to packages such as free rounds of miniature golf, discounts at select locations, and the ability to add one of the dining plans to your stay.  Other times, you may find better deals by making your reservation at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel separate from your park tickets.  While you won't get access to the Magical Extras or dining plans this way, you do still get to enjoy all of the benefits of staying at Walt Disney World Resort such as Early Theme Park Entry, advanced access to purchasing Lightning Lane passes, and complimentary resort transportation.

Currently, there is a great deal on a 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket which includes one visit to each of the four theme parks over four separate days which may interest you for your upcoming vacation.  When I'm not booking a package, I typically make my room reservation first and then go back and purchase my theme park tickets.  If you choose to book your room separately from your tickets, you may also want to check out this current room offer.  As you are booking your room, it will give you the option to add park tickets, but you can decline this option if you're planning to take advantage of the current ticket offer instead.  I also recommend making your room reservation and ticket purchases while logged into your My Disney Experience account so everything is auto-magically linked to you.  However, you can always go back and link your reservations and tickets if needed at a later date.  This can be done by logging into your account and then selecting "My Plans."  If you need any assistance while completing your room reservation or ticket purchase, you can always call a Cast Member and they'll be happy to help!

Priscilla, I hope this information helps as you plan a most magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!

    See ya real soon!
