Hiya Jessica!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question our way.
Visiting Disneyland Resort with loved ones is truly the best! The larger the group, the more magical it feels! I'm elated to hear your party of nine will be experiencing the enchantment of The Happiest Place on Earth together.
Jessica,
dining reservations for a larger group can be a bit tricky, so I recommend splitting your party up into two smaller groups. Because your Disney account doesn't allow you to have overlapping reservations, you'll need a planning buddy to help you do this; they'll take charge of snagging reservations for one group while you make reservations for the other group.
When I visit with my extended family, we like to make two sets of dining reservations within 15 to 20 minutes of one another so that we're all seated around the same time. I recommend you check for dining reservations at the 60-day mark, as reservations usually become available online at 3 AM Pacific Time.
I also like to head to the restaurant a bit earlier than my reservation to let the attending Cast Member know the two groups are together and ask nicely if we can be seated together. This is at the restaurant's discretion, but in my experience, we've often been seated together. Although this is not guaranteed, we don't mind when we can't sit together because everyone leaves the restaurant full and happy.
Some magical dining locations that can accommodate larger groups are
Carnation Cafe in Disneyland Park,
Cafe Orleans in Disneyland Park,
Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure Park,
Wine Country Trattoria in Disney California Adventure Park, and
Tortilla Jo's in the Downtown Disney District.
Wishing you and your party an enchanting visit, Jessica!
