Hello, Julie! Welcome to planDisney. Easily one of the best restaurants at Disneyland Park,
Blue Bayou has been around for more than five decades! I'm happy to answer your question and add some
lagniappe, which New Orleanians say to mean a little extra!
Since Blue Bayou is very popular,
reservations are highly recommended and can be made through the Disneyland website or with the
Disneyland Mobile app up to 60 days before your visit. The restaurant is located in New Orleans Square and is best known for its ambiance. The dining experience is a feast for the senses, as you will smell the delicious creole cuisine, hear the sounds of crickets and frogs, see colorful lanterns, and watch the
Pirates of the Caribbean boats float by; make sure to wave!
As a native of the Big Easy, I am partial to the Chicken Gumbo on the appetizer menu. However, I also recommend getting the Disneyland cult favorite Monte Cristo Sandwich, only available at lunch. My kids love the Mint Julep from the non-alcoholic beverages section of the menu because it comes with a souvenir, color-changing glow cube. For a fun splurge, consider treating yourself to the Sparkling Wine Celebration Finale!
I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that you can secure a table for your trip, Julie!
Laissez les bon temps rouler (let the good time roll)!
