We have reservations at 3 different DVC resorts (Polynesian, Animal Kingdom at Kidani, and Saratoga Springs) for the week of Thanksgiving and can’t wait! We’ve never stayed at Animal Kingdom or Saratoga. Do you have any tips for these resorts?

    Welcome to planDisney, Tammy!

Thank you for bringing us your vacation question, it would be my pleasure to provide you with some tips for your next visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! It sounds like you have an incredible visit to Walt Disney World this fall, staying at some amazing Disney Vacation Club Resorts! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa are both excellent resorts and I think you will truly enjoy the unique benefits each one has to offer.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village has incredible theming throughout the resort, breathtaking views of the animals roaming the savannas, a super fun swimming pool area with a 128-foot waterslide and zero-depth-entry and some delicious restaurants. My biggest tip would be to book or upgrade to a savanna view, if at all possible. Nothing beats getting to wake up and look out of the window, or sit on your balcony, and enjoy the incredible views of the animals on the savanna. During my last stay in Kidani Village, the best part of my day was sipping coffee on the balcony, watching the animals being fed in the mornings. Another tip for your stay at this resort would be to snag a dining reservation for Sanaa - and be sure to order the Indian-style Bread Service!

My favorite thing about staying at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is how easily you can walk over to the shopping, dining, and entertainment of Disney Springs! During my most recent stay at this resort, I had a 1-Bedroom, newly refurbished Villa in Congress Park, which made the walk to Disney Springs even shorter! If you would rather be closer to the main building, with access to the restaurants and the larger High Rock Spring Pool area, request a villa in The Springs, where you can then take the boat over to Disney Springs.

I hope this information helps you to plan and get even more excited about your upcoming stay in Walt Disney World! Please stop back by planDisney if we can help you with any more of your vacation plans or questions.
