I have reservations for the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's on July 15th. My friends are on the fence about joining me. I am dead set on the experience, however. Would I alone be able to dine, or do I need at least two in my party?

I had the great privilege of dining at Victoria & Albert's in July of 2009. I have lived in the New York City area for 15 years. I have dined in most of the Zagat guide highest rated NY gourmet restaurants. None compared to Victoria & Albert's. The combination of ambiance, stunning food, and impeccable service is beyond fabulous. We loved it so much that we are now taking the entire family to dine at the V&A Chef's Table. (Our children are all above 10 years old, which is the minimum age for dining at V&A.) This is coming up next week - I can't tell you how excited I am. AND we made reservations again for our anniversary in July 2010. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we've made a true committement to having over and over again. It's just that good.

To answer your specific question. Yes, you would be welcome to dine at V&A alone. There is no minimum party size. However, I would strongly urge your friends to keep the reservation too. They have no idea what they'll be missing.
