I have 8:10 am reservations at the castle on Friday 1/10. Staying at the A of A. What impact will the Marathon have on me traveling to the parks so early. What time do the busses start running? how early can I get into the MK before my res? thnx!

    Hi Lynda,

The Walt Disney World Resorts will be out and running for all of the guests participating in this weekend events. Saturday is the Half Marathon and Sunday is the Marathon. Both of these events will see more impact on transportation than Friday. Epcot will be the most impacted because these races start and stop at Epcot.

The Magic Kingdom does not open until 9:00 am on Friday which in theory means the first buses will not run until 8:00 from the resorts. However, Disney should have a Special bus running for guests who have early morning dining reservations. I figure they would start at 7:00 am and you should ask the concierge at Art of Animation what time to expect that bus to arrive.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
