Bright Suns, Erin! That is how you will be greeted as you walk through Black Spire Outpost to get to
Savi’s Workshop to meet the gatherers for your light saber experience.
Last month, my son crafted his very own light saber with the gatherers. I was allowed to be his guest and could stand behind him while he built. I took a LOT of pictures. From the time we checked in outside, chose which light saber he would build, processed our payment, and finally going inside to build, it took around 45 minutes.
The experience was totally cool. At the end, the gatherers help the builders put their completed light saber into a carrying case that has a strap for over the shoulder or crossbody. It was not very heavy, and my son carried it back to the hotel room and onto the plane for our trip home.
Since you don’t want to carry the light saber home, you can have it shipped from Batuu to your home planet for under $20. The gatherers can assist you to fill out the proper paperwork for intergalactic shipping. They also might refer you to First Order Cargo for shipping.
I might suggest trying to secure a reservation at
Oga’s Cantina for after your Savi’s Workshop experience. The atmosphere is so fun, and so are the drinks. My husband loves the Fuzzy Tauntaun, where I am more of a Carbon Freeze kind of girl.
There are also a LOT of great photo opportunities around Black Spire Outpost. Be sure to add
Memory Maker onto your Walt Disney World Resort package so that all of these photos are included for you. One of my favorites is located near the exit by Toy Story Land where there is a magic shot that includes Grogu.
I hope your January visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is out-of-this-world!
May the Force Be With You,
Tracy
