Hello Renee!
Welcome to planDisney! There is something truly magical about the
Blue Bayou Restaurant isn’t there? It’s perpetual evening, with all the sights and sounds to transport you to a New Orleans waterside cafe? Many consider Blue Bayou to be the most magical place to dine at the
Disneyland Resort, and it does book very quickly.
Disneyland Resort dining reservations open up to 60 days in advance, but that means you may not see availability at that 60-day mark, you may need to check daily to see when availability opens. Currently, dining reservations appear to be opening in batches rather than one day at a time. Reservations for November 20 have been open for quite a while at this point, and right now, I don’t see any availability. I was also hoping to make a reservation for our Thanksgiving weekend visit, but I wasn’t able to snag a reservation either. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and the demand is simply higher than the available number of tables. Guests can make reservations either on the
Disneyland Resort website or on the
Disneyland Mobile App.
I would use the Disneyland Mobile App and check daily for reservations. You never know when another Guest’s plans change. Once in the park, you can try Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability to check if any reservations are available the day of. I also like to use a website called MouseDining. You can use their free service to set up an alert for the location, date, and time you are hoping for. If someone else cancels, MouseDining will send you an email. You can then try to quickly use the Disneyland Mobile App to book that reservation, and maybe you’ll get lucky! I still have my fingers crossed for my own family’s visit next month.
I hope one of these ideas helps, Renee. Sending you pixie dust for that perfect dining reservation!
