Hey, Theresa!
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of our home resorts, and we love the convenience of having the monorail right there to hop over to the other monorail resorts. Plus, being walking distance to the
Magic Kingdom is a pretty awesome.
Not all resort reservations can be combined. If you want the
Disney Dining Plan for both parts of your stay, you will have to purchase it separately to link it to each reservation.
Now what happens? Well, your dining plan credits are per night of your stay, and they become available to use as soon as you check in. They also are valid until midnight on the night you check out. This is where this becomes tricky for you and other guests doing a split stay. First, do online check in for both reservations, and indicate an early morning arrival for the second leg of your stay - I always do 6 AM. In order for your dining plan credits for your second stay to become available, you must use all of your points from your first stay. Redeem all of your snack credits, use any quick or table service credits you have remaining either at dinner the night before or for an early breakfast on transition day. I recommend physically checking out - go down to the front desk, let them know you're checking out, ask them to take a look at your dining plan credits, and make sure there's a smooth transition. Sometimes, the system can take a few hours to update, so be aware of that as well.
I hope everything goes smoothly!
