Our reservations are on 4-20 - 4/26. We are arriving on 4/19 and staying off Disney property. Can we check in on 4/19 so that we may go straight to MK for Easter Sunday ? We want to open the park - we don't need the room early just park admission.

Hi Brandy!    An Easter vacation at Walt Disney World sounds practically perfect.   You will enjoy some beautiful weather and one of my favorite special events, the Epcot International Flower &  Garden Festival.

You will not be able to check into your Disney Resort hotel until the day of your reservation.   On some of my family vacations I have arrived at the Resort as early as 7:00 a.m. At this early hour I was able to check-in and have my park tickets and Disney Dining Plan entitlements activated.   Your resort room may not be ready;  however, you can choose to have a cast member send you your room number via text messaging. This will allow you to simply swipe your Magic Band to open your resort room door when you return from the parks later in the day.

Thanks for asking such a great question Brandy!   If you think of anything else you may need help with please let me or any of my pals know. Enjoy opening the park on Easter Sunday, and say hi to my pal Mickey Mouse!

    Have a magical day,

    ~Jen
