I have reservations at AKL, club level standard room. What is the difference betweeen the Jambo House, Lodge and Kiami Village? Is one newer/better than the other two? Our first time to Disney with my children and grandchild, would like the best!

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a wonderful resort! I think you will be very happy there.

Jambo House is the main lodge, which is likely what you've seen pictures of on the Disney website. It is the original building, and the older of the two. This is the building where you will find the Boma and Jiko restaurants as well.

Kidani Village is the newer building, and it is a Disney Vacation Club property. Home to the Sanaa restaurant, it is smaller than Jambo House.

As to which is better, I find that hard to say. We love the pool at Kidani Village, which has a mini splash park play area that is a huge hit with my young daughters. I prefer the savannas at Jambo House, as well as Jiko over Sanaa. Really, they both are beautiful resorts with great amenities, and I think you would be happy with either one.

    Have a great vacation!
