Hi Cherie, I see your magical trip to Walt Disney World is right around the corner and I am sure you are anxiously counting down the days until you arrive.
After a quick call to Disney Fort Wilderness Resort I am happy to report the petting zoo is still located at the
Tri-Circle- D Ranch. Here you and your family can also, meet some of Cinderella's own special ponies and see some of the horses that pull the trolleys down Magic Kingdom's Main Street USA. You even can take a carriage or wagon rides for a small fee. Traveling to Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a about a 20-minute scenic boat ride but be sure to keep an eye on the time and allow yourself enough time to get to the docks.
For a couple of other ideas, spend the day and discover what your home resort has to offer and splash around in the pool before heading out to your knee-slapping, yee-hawing fun time at Whispering Canyon. You can also, consider a healthy competition of miniature golf at
Fantasia Gardens and Fairway Miniature Golf.
Or maybe do the Magic Kingdom resort monorail hop and begin your tour at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa followed by Disney's Polynesian Resort and finish at Disney's Contemporary Resort where you can again take a boat ride to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. For additional magical fun maybe purchase a Hidden Mickey's book before your departure and see how many Mickey's you can find at each resort. The winner gets a small surprise.
I hope your trip is filled with many magical memories and let me know if I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance.

P.S. Be sure to ask for KETCHUP!!!! when dining at Whispering Canyon.
