Hi Allison,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! A morning reservation at
Tusker House is a fantastic way to kick off your day at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
If you’re staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry, which allows you to enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom 30 minutes before the official park opening. This perk should give you more than enough time to make your way through the park and arrive at Tusker House by your reservation time.
If you’re not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, Hakuna Matata! I recommend arriving 30 minutes before the park officially opens so that you can be one of the first Guests to enter the standard park security line. Although you won’t have the benefit of the early entry, arriving early should still allow you plenty of time to check in at Tusker House. And just in case, there’s typically a 15-minute grace period for dining reservations, so you’ll have a little cushion if needed.
After you’ve enjoyed your breakfast with Donald Duck and friends, be sure to check out some of my favorite attractions.
Festival of the Lion King is a must-see, especially if you love live shows. And if you're up for some thrills,
Avatar Flight of Passage in Pandora is an unforgettable experience. Of course, no trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom is complete without a visit to
Kilimanjaro Safaris, where you can take in the sights of incredible wildlife.
For a snack later in the day, I recommend you do your best Jane impression and swing with Tarzan over to
Nomad Louge for appetizers and delicious cocktails. You’ll also find great snacks at
Tamu Tamu Refreshments, such as the refreshing DOLE Whip, which always hits the spot!
I hope this helps with your planning for your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place On Earth. Enjoy your meal at Tusker House, and have a fantastic time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! If you have any additional questions,
let me know!
See you real soon,
Brent
