I was on reservation system at 558 am waiting like many others for 6 am for Cinderella royal table, and by the time the date was finally available it said there were no time available. how could this be? it was not even 601 am at that point?

    Hi William,

It's great to see you again! I'm so glad to get your question because I too have spent many early mornings trying to secure some coveted advance dining reservations. I haven't always been successful at the 60-day window, but have usually still been able to dine at nearly all of my top-choice locations. Let's dig into the details!

Cinderella's Royal Table is a hot-ticket dining experience, and like you, many guests are hoping to "bibbidi bobbidi boo" their way into snagging a table at 6 a.m. EST at the 60-day mark. But there is one caveat to the reservation system you might not be aware of. Disney Resorts Collection hotel guests are able to make advance dining reservations for their length of stay, up to 10 days, 60 days in advance of their check-in date. So although you woke up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to grab a table this morning, guests arriving earlier in the week of your visit already had access to the reservation system for this particular date. But not to fret William! Consider me your Fairy Godmother as I share some of my best tips for hard-to-get dining reservations.

This past weekend I was forced to cancel a special birthday dinner at Narcoossee's as travel delays and an unfortunate flight cancelation, foiled my plans. I was quite sad to miss the meal but thankfully was able to secure a reservation for another evening by checking availability through the My Disney Experience App throughout the day. Guests are able to cancel most dining reservations without penalty up to two hours before the reservation, so it's very possible you could see a last-minute table become available.  I'd recommend checking frequently leading up to your trip, but especially on the day of, as guest plans change all the time. Even miracles take a little time, but I'm hoping you'll be able to secure a reservation without too much waiting.

If your carriage turns back into a pumpkin before you can secure a table, you can still Meet Cinderella and a Visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom Park. We always try to stop in and visit with a princess during our trips and I find the one-on-one interactions to be quite magical.

William, if we can offer any additional planning assistance or recommendations please stop back and visit us again. I'm wishing you a most magical visit.

A dream is a wish your heart makes,
    Amy
