Hello there, Anthony! Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop back by and asking another excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a land unlike any other! Here, Guests are transported to the distant planet of Batuu where they can explore the Black Spire Outpost. This eclectic area is comprised of unique bazaars, delicious dining locations, and amazing opportunities for adventure!
I am happy to let you know that you do not need a reservation to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! That being said, all Guests will need a reservation prior to entering any of the four theme parks so you will need a reservation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Theme Park Reservations may be made through the
Disney Park Pass system as soon as you have purchased your theme park tickets and connected them to your My Disney Experience account. It is highly recommended that you check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar online before booking your stay. This way, you can verify availability during your anticipated travel dates!
Another important bit of information to remember is that
Guests must join the virtual queue if they would like to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance during their visit! Guests may join the virtual queue through the My Disney Experience app during particular times of the day. Currently, availability is released at both 7:00 am and 1:00 pm each day. You must have a valid theme park ticket and a theme park reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios before attempting to join the virtual queue as well.
May the force be with you as you make your Star Wars plans!
I hope you have a magical time visiting Walt Disney World Resort later this year! Please let us know if we can provide any additional planning support along the way!
