Hello Kim and welcome to planDisney! Happy you are here with your planning question, and how exciting that you'll be getting magical Disney World annual passes this summer. Woo hoo!!
I think your timing will work out just fine. And yes, you are allowed to add a Disney Dining Plan to your vacation (with qualifying tickets, including an annual pass) right up until the day before check-in. As soon as your annual pass purchase in August is complete and linked to your
My Disney Experience account, then you should be able to add a dining plan to your September reservation at Fort Wilderness. To do so, you will need to
call Disney Resort Reservations, and a Cast Member will be happy to assist you in updating your reservation.
How awesome is it to have the Disney Dining Plan during your Disney World vacation?! My family loves adding this to our vacation plans! I feel when we've got dining plan table service entitlements to use, we end up including some awesome
advance dining reservations in our vacation plans. Themed Disney dining experiences are fun, delicious, and end up creating some of our favorite memories! Be sure to have some ideas ready, and log on 60 days in advance of your check-in date. Starting at 6:00 am Eastern Time reservations will open up, and you can make selections for the duration of your stay. Favorites like
Chef Mickey's character dining buffet and
'Ohana family style dining at the Polynesian often fill up quite fast!
And be sure to grab your included resort refillable mugs from the
Trail's End Restaurant as soon as you arrive. Woo hoo!
Kim, I'll be wishing upon a star for you to have the Best. Trip. Ever!! I hope this helps, and please feel free to
send me a message if you have any additional questions.
Adventure is out there!
