    I have reservation at Saratoga Springs and forgot to ask for preferred category room that near the pool and restaurant for my family. How do I go about it. Thank you

    Welcome to planDisney, Tick! Wow, your Magical vacation is almost hEAR! Tick, I too will be visiting Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in a matter of weeks and I can't wait to kick off the summer season at the Most Magical Place on Earth. 

    Now, since your vacation is coming quickly, let's talk about what modifications you may be able to make. First, it's important to note that the preferred rooms are a separate booking category, so you'll need to modify your reservation beyond just a request and this is subject to availability.

    Tick, if you are a Disney Vacation Club Member and you've booked this stay with points, you'll want to call into Member Services (as you are less than 30 days from your stay) to inquire about changing the details of your reservation. Please also note that the preferred category does come with a point difference, so it will not be an "even trade" and you will need to have available points to make the change. 

    Now, if you are a cash guest, I recommend calling and speaking to a Cast Member about your options. If there is not availability in the preferred section to make the switch, I encourage you to take a few moments and read this question and answer about room requests at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. It may give you a few ideas that will help your room location be more convenient for your traveling party.
