Greetings, Lenyann, and welcome to planDisney! You are so thoughtful to help your parents plan their
Walt Disney World Resort visit. I hope my son is that helpful someday when I'm older! Let's look at the best way to book a fabulously magical meal for them on their upcoming trip.
I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who said that, technically, the guest who makes the reservation should be present to check in at the restaurant. He suggested you help your parents create their own
My Disney Experience accounts and
make the reservation under one of their names. That way, they won't encounter any un-magical issues, especially when hungry!
For example, if the restaurant is at a
Disney Resort Hotel, they must show a valid ID that matches the name on the dining reservation to enter the resort property. So, making the reservation in their names would be the safest route. Or you could crash their dinner! I'm sure they'd love to have you join them. 'Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind.
I recently had the most delicious meal at
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. It was served family style, and we were treated to a high-energy show while we ate. I never thought I could laugh, eat, and clap simultaneously, but apparently, I can! I bet your folks would have a blast at this dining experience.
Lenyann, I hope you can set up a practically perfect meal for your parents. Please stop by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
