Hi, we have a reservation at Pop Century for 2 adults and 2 teens (ages 16 and 13). Does the new murphy bed design make the space cramped for 4 people? Can you leave it in the down position daily? Concerned as there used to be 2 queen beds, which was great

    Howdy Lawrence!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   It sounds like you are planning a fabulous trip for your family.  I hope you have a wonderful time making memories together.   You will be staying at one of my favorite Disney Resort hotels, Disney's Pop Century Resort.    With the newly remodeled Guest rooms and the convenience to the Disney Skyliner system this Resort can't be beat.  I am happy to help answer your question today.

The newly remodeled rooms at Disney's Pop Century Resort are simply beautiful.   They are a big upgrade from the older style room.   You are right there will be two beds in the room, one of which is a murphy bed.   Both of these beds are queen size beds.   You can leave the bed in the down position if  you choose.   You will notice that the non-murphy bed is raised and has plenty of room for storage for luggage or other items underneath.   If you choose to put the murphy bed in the up position you will find a table with chairs that you could use during the day and make for a little more room.  My family will often leave it down and when housekeeping comes we put a note asking that they put it up for us.   This allows for my kids to play games or eat at the table when we return for a break in the afternoon.  In the older style rooms there was carpet and two double size beds, you now have a wood laminate floor and two queen size beds.  I think you are really going to enjoy the room.

I hope this has helped,  it's my pleasure to be able to answer your question.  If you think of anything else we can assist with before your magical vacation, please let us know.   It's always fun to help a fellow Guest.
