Hey, howdy, hey, Marianna! Welcome to the wildest panel in the wilderness - planDisney! Thanks for stopping by to chat a spell. Your Walt Disney World Resort visit will be here as soon as
Chip 'n Dale can roast s'mores around the campfire, so let's talk about transportation and parking while you're here.
I've enjoyed the family-style fare at
Whispering Canyon Cafe, so I know you'll have a rootin' tootin' good time. Their ketchup is something special, so be sure to ask for plenty!
Parking at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is reserved for resort guests and, when space allows, guests with advanced dining reservations. The gate attendant will ask to see your reservation information, but they typically only allow dining guests to park there for a limited time. If you arrive for a dinner reservation in the morning, they will probably tell you to come back closer to your meal.
My friends and I had a similar situation with a reservation at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort. We wanted to stroll and shop along Disney's BoardWalk before lunch, so we headed there a couple of hours before our meal. The attendant said, "You're a little early for your reservation, aren't you?" He suggested we return closer to our dining time and plan to browse a bit after eating.
I recommend parking at the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) for the day. Then, take the monorail or ferryboat to the Magic Kingdom Park entrance. About an hour before your dinner reservation, you'll make your way to Disney's Wilderness Lodge via the
resort launch. Look for the red flag line just outside the Magic Kingdom exit, and get ready for a scenic cruise to dinner!
Marianna, I hope you have a hootenanny of a good time on your vacation. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney. Come back anytime; I'll have the marshmallows waiting!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
