Welcome to planDisney, Tia! I understand you want a stellar dining experience for your upcoming trip. I can attest that
Space 220 Restaurant is no small step but is one giant leap for
EPCOT!
I was lucky to snag a reservation here last month, so I'm happy to share my thoughts. The seating in the main restaurant consists of booths and tables, most seating 4-6 guests (the
Lounge is also a great experience, but the tables are slightly smaller). Although there is no maximum number, it will be easier to obtain a reservation if your party does not exceed six. One suggestion is to split up into two smaller groups and ask to be seated together when you check-in. I have some tips for doing this
in an answer I recently wrote.
Then, set your alarm 60 days out. Right now, regardless of resort booking, everyone can make
Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days out. You can book as early as 6:00 AM EST via
My Disney Experience or 7:00 AM by calling (407) WDW-DINE (407-939-1947). If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you have a little more leeway: You can make reservations up to 60 days in advance, plus the length of your stay. When staying on property, I prioritize my reservations and put the toughest to get at the end of my trip to better my chances. Just make sure to have a
Park Pass reservation for EPCOT on the day you plan to dine there.
Sometimes, even using these strategies doesn't work immediately, and I'll enlist the help of a reservation finding service. These are free or cost a small fee, and you can do a quick internet search to find them. You can set up an alert by text or email, so you know when a reservation is available. And keep checking the Walt Disney World website because reservation availability opens up all the time- just be diligent.
I hope your dining experience is heavenly, Tia! Take the time to marvel at all the details, and see if you can catch the two astronauts fighting with lightsabers! And reward yourself for all that hard work you spent planning with an Atmospritz cocktail that comes with its own Cotton Candy Cloud!
