Hey there, Tracy!
I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney, and I appreciate you bringing your question our way! It looks like you’re planning a
fall visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, which is such a frightfully fun time to experience Walt Disney World. There's so much to look forward to during this time of year.
Enjoying a delicious meal together after a fun-filled day at Walt Disney World while traveling with a larger group means even more people to share those magical moments with! However, finding a
dining reservation for a big party can sometimes feel like a challenge. Don’t worry, though! With a little planning and some helpful strategies, you can give yourself a much better chance of finding a table.
One of the most important things to keep in mind is when your
dining reservation window opens. If you’re staying at a
Disney Resort for your visit, you’ll be able to make dining reservations beginning 60 days before your check-in date, with the ability to book for your entire length of stay, up to 10 nights. This can give you a nice head start on securing those must-do dining experiences. If you’re staying off property, you’ll be able to make reservations 60 days before each individual date you’d like to dine.
One trick that can be helpful when you’re traveling with a larger group is to split your party into two smaller dining reservations. Since
each Guest can only have one reservation at the same restaurant for the same time, another person in your group will need to make the additional reservation.
When you do this, I recommend trying to book the reservations as close together as possible. Once you arrive at the restaurant, be sure to let the Cast Member at the host stand know that your reservations are all part of the same group and that you’d love to be seated together. While seating everyone together can’t be guaranteed, in my experience, Cast Members will always do their best to accommodate your request when they can.
Tracy, I hope these tips help as you continue planning your trip. Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney! I hope you have a practically perfect vacation filled with plenty of magical (and delicious!) memories!
Bon Appétit,
