Steven, thanks for taking the time to visit planDisney. I'm sorry to hear about your predicament! As a fellow runner, I know how much time and energy go into training for a race. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Getting back to business, we are here to help! I spoke with Disney Ticketing Services, and here are a couple of options available to you:
1. Modify the dates on your tickets to new dates in the future; you can do this quickly through your My Disney Experience app. Just keep in mind that if your new dates are higher in price, you'll be asked to pay the difference in cost (and conversely, if the new dates are cheaper, you will not get a refund). If you get close to the new expiration date, simply push your dates out again, and keep doing it until you plan a new trip. You'll need to do this by the end of the day today.
2. Even if a ticket has expired or never been used, you can still apply its value towards a new ticket. Usually, guests can apply the value of an unused Walt Disney World ticket toward the purchase of any higher-priced ticket. This one is trickier because when your tickets expire after January 6, they will no longer show up in your My Disney Experience account. However, call Disney Ticket Services at (407) 939-5277, and they should be able to find the expired tickets in your account and reissue them for your new dates when you decide on them.
Typically, runDisney does not offer refunds on race registration, but it's worth a call at (407) 939-4786. And one more thing...remember that you will need to cancel your existing Park Pass Reservations and then book new ones. I recommend checking the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar before rescheduling your trip to make sure the Parks you want to visit are available.
If you need any more help, Steven, please feel free to write back. We hope to "See ya again real soon!"
Sincerely,
Eean
