Hello Robert,
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with your question. You'll be at Walt Disney World by the weekend... how exciting! We wanted to pop this answer to you quickly so you'll be prepared on your arrival. There are two different scenarios, depending on your type of reservation.
- Vacation Package - If you reserved a Disney vacation package with both resort and park tickets, my guess is that you have already paid your balance in full. That due date is typically 30 days prior to your arrival date.
- Room-Only - If you made a room-only reservation at a Disney Resort, you are allowed to pay your remaining balance due at check-in. In this case, you could use a Disney Gift Card to pay that amount. I recommend checking in at the front desk of your resort in person, and have a Cast Member assist with applying your gift card as payment.
Also, you can use a Disney Gift Card towards any charges incurred during your Disney trip!
I love using our
MagicBands or
MagicMobile to pay for food and merchandise purchases while we are at Disney World. For Disney Resort guests, these charges will be accumulated as "room charges" up until your check-out date. You can swing by the front desk at your resort any time prior to your check-out, and have them apply a gift card towards payment on that balance.
Did you know that the delightful EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is still in full bloom? This wonderful event features specialty food booth treats, gorgeous and fun topiaries, and a free
Garden Rocks concert series. Be sure to check out the late March music line-up!
I hope this answered your question, Robert. Sending tons of pixie-dust for you to have a magical stay, packed with fun memory making.
See ya' real soon!
Tami
