I have a reservation at Ohana at 12pm so I'd like to do that and also visit Boardwalk and Art of Animation (via Skyliner) - what's my best route/plan for a non-parks day exploring WDW? Thanks!

    Hi Melissa!

Welcome back to planDisney! I love a good "non-parks day," so let’s put your plan together!

After your meal at ‘Ohana, I’d head over to the bus stop at the Polynesian and jump on the bus to Hollywood Studios. Not far from where you’re dropped off at Hollywood Studios, you’ll see the Skyliner.

You can take the Skyliner from Hollywood Studios to Art of Animation. It’s good to note that you will need to get off the Skyliner at Caribbean Beach to switch lines. Then you’ll continue your journey to Art of Animation.

At Art of Animation, don’t miss the larger-than-life statues of some of your favorite Disney characters around the resort. They make for great photo ops!

Once you’re done exploring that resort, you can hop back on the Skyliner to get to the Boardwalk. Again, you’ll have to get off the Skyliner at the main hub at Caribbean Beach, then you’ll get on the line that goes to Epcot. The Skyliner station at Epcot is just a short walk away from the Boardwalk.

The Boardwalk would be a great spot to grab some ice cream and maybe even rent a surrey bike if you’re up for the workout! If you’re there late enough, you’ll be able to check out the evening entertainment, which is always such a highlight for my family.

If you want to add in another stop when resort hopping, you can always get off the Skyliner at the Riviera before completing your trip over to the Boardwalk. There are some amazing mosaics of Peter Pan and Tangled, just a short walk away from the Skyliner station at Riviera.

Of course, if you’d like to get around Disney World property a little quicker, you can always book a Minnie Van. It would be an extra cost, but it would be able to take you directly to your destination.

I hope that helps! Have the best trip! And of course, let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan.
