I have a reservation in Oct for Kona Cafe. I was also looking at Captian Cook's. It will be just my boyfriend and I. We've never been to either. I know for sure I'm getting Tonga toast (trying for the 1st time!) Which restaurant is better in your opinion?

    Hi there Jenny!

How exciting to be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in October! I have personally dined at both Capt. Cook’s and Kona Cafe, which are both located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.  Although I have always enjoyed both dining locations, I honestly prefer Kona Cafe. Capt. Cook's is a Quick-Service restaurant; whereas, Kona Cafe is a Table-Service restaurant offering a more extensive menu and amazing service. You are very wise to try the delicious Tonga Toast, a personal favorite of my husband's. You honestly can't go wrong with either dining location; however, my recommendation is to keep your Advanced Dining Reservation for Kona Cafe.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip, Jenny!

    Bon Appétit,
