I chatted with a Cast Member who said your dad should be okay to provide your name when he gets to
Savi's Workshop. If you’re going to be there, I’d suggest going with him at least to check in. And builders can actually bring one guest with them inside the experience, so you could watch your dad make his lightsaber!
If you haven’t made the reservation yet, at checkout, you can choose the guest making the lightsaber. If your dad is connected to you through your
Family & Friends List, his profile will appear in the drop-down menu under Guest. If he doesn’t have a MyDisney account or profile, you can choose “Add a New Guest” and input his name. If you run into any issues, you can always call the
Tours and Recreation phone number, and a Cast Member would be happy to help.
When your dad is finished building his lightsaber, make sure you look for
PhotoPass photographers throughout Batuu to get pictures with his new creation! I’d recommend getting both daytime and nighttime shots since they have a different vibe. My favorite is the evening photos because it really makes the glowing lightsaber stand out. I recently took nighttime lightsaber pictures with my friends, and they were epic!
