I have a reservation at Liberty Sq Tavern at 4:05pm during the Xmas Party. We only have tickets for the party, so the soonest we can get in the park is 4pm. I'm worried we won't be able to get to the restaurant in time. What is the arrival window?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Corey!

Liberty Tree Tavern is one of my family’s favorite restaurants at Magic Kingdom Park. In my experience, as long as we’ve arrived within five minutes of our reservation time, we haven’t had any problems being seated. Typically there is a small wait between the time you check in and the time you’re seated, but I would definitely try to get there as close to your reservation time as possible.

If you’re entering Magic Kingdom Park for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you’ll need to allow a little extra time to collect your Party wristbands after entering through the main tapstiles. Then you’ll need to make your way down Main Street, U.S.A. and through Liberty Square to make it to the restaurant. Depending on the number of people in your party and the crowd level at Magic Kingdom Park, you want to give yourself at least 5-7 minutes to make that walk. Therefore, I would recommend trying to push your reservation back to 4:15 at the earliest or 4:30 for an even better cushion.

If your My Disney Experience mobile app or profile on the website isn’t currently showing availability for that time, don’t fret just yet! With more than a month before your arrival, you may still be able to modify your reservation--it just may mean you need to check the website or mobile app regularly to see if something else will come up.

Modifying a dining reservation with your My Disney Experience mobile app is easy peasy. Simply tap on your reservation under "My Plans" and then tap the pencil icon to “Modify.” On the next screen, you’ll see options to modify your party size, date and/or time. Tap the appropriate information and then the system will process and let you know if something else is available. If an alternate option pops up, just select the time you want and your reservation will be instantly modified. (You should also receive an email notification alerting you of the change.) If no other available times show up, just keep checking! Guests will often cancel or modify their dining reservations the closer they get to their arrival date. Make sure you check the cancellation policy in your original email confirmation if you choose to cancel (rather than modify) your current reservation.

Good luck, Corey! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
