If I have a reservation at the Lamplight Lounge, would I be able to stay at the restaurant after closing time to be able to see World of Color?

    Hello again, Kendall!

Welcome back to planDisney and we're happy to see you join us again! Are you having fun planning your first trip to the Disneyland Resort?! One of my favorite things is guiding a newcomer on a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, so I can't wait for you to experience all that this Resort has to offer!

I'm glad to see that you're planning ahead and making your dining reservations since we are within 60 days for your visit. In addition to having some delicious foods (try the Potato Skins and end the meal with the Donuts, trust me), the Lamplight Lounge is a wonderful place to view World of Color. The current nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure is World of Color - ONE, a fantastic show about the impact that a single ripple can have. It's the first World of Color to feature characters from Walt Disney Animation, Star Wars, Pixar, and Marvel! If you can time your reservation so that your meal ends around showtime, you will be allowed to view the show from your table (check the Daily Schedule for showtimes). Ask to be seated by the water if possible. I was able to enjoy World of Color - ONE from a waterside table at the Lamplight Lounge on a previous visit and it felt like we had a private viewing!

Other options for viewing World of Color include Dining Packages and the World of Color Dessert Party. I've heard very good things about the Dessert Party where you get to enjoy a more centrally located sitting area along with some tasty treats. You can also attempt to join the virtual queue that opens at noon.

Your visit will also coincide with the final week of "Rogers: The Musical!" This is a limited run engagement that will end on August 31 and is a must-see for any Marvel fan! The show runs from Tuesday through Saturday on most weeks and initial reviews are very positive.

Kendall, I hope that answer was helpful for you. I'd love to help you further plan your trip, so if you have any more questions, please let me or any of my planDisney pals know and we'd be happy to respond! Until next time, happy planning!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
