We have a reservation @ Kidani and really want to be able to see the giraffes from our room. What area should we request?

Jambo, Nicolle! I absolutely adore Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and even have an upcoming stay there myself. I took a look at my Online Check-In to confirm which room requests you can make before your stay and found the following choices available: Highest Floor, Lowest Floor, Near Lobby, and Near Transportation. At both of Disney's Animal Kingdom resorts, I always request Lowest Floor. While even the highest floors have exceptional views of the savannas, I just prefer to be as close as possible to them. There is nothing like sitting out on our room's balcony in the morning with a cup of coffee, watching the sun rise and the animals stroll out to begin their day on the savanna!

If you have booked a Savanna View room, then you will be placed on either the Sunset Savanna or Pembe Savanna. The Pembe Savanna is filled with unique wildlife, such as red river hogs, waterbuck, and my older daughter's favorite okapi! Guests staying along the Sunset Savanna will be treated to views of such animals as giraffes, Thomson's gazelles, and ostrich. This past summer, we had a studio on the South Train of the Sunset Savanna and enjoyed giraffes throughout the day. To make a request for the Sunset Savanna, you will need to call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations or your original booking agent and put in a request for such. Please understand that this is merely a request and cannot be guaranteed.

If you do by chance have a room anywhere other than your preferred spot, no worries! There are plenty of spots to view the giraffes at the resort. I hope this information helps you plan a magical stay! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
