Greetings, Patrick! Thank you for bringing this great question to us at planDisney!
Can you believe that you're only a few sleeps away from your magical vacation at
Walt Disney World Resort? I couldn't be more excited for you! Before you know it, you'll be battling the First Order in
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, flying on the back of a banshee in
Avatar Flight of Passage, saving the galaxy on
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and navigating the Grid on
TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise! But before we can get you to join Team Blue, we need to talk about virtual queues.
Patrick, joining a
virtual queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run is a great way to experience this attraction! At the time of this writing, virtual queues are available for TRON Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Typically, there are two daily opportunities to join a virtual queue – at 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM. For these opportunities, Guests must have a theme park reservation for the corresponding park, and Guests must be in the park for the 1:00 PM opportunity.
However, there is also a 6:00 PM virtual queue opportunity on select nights for Guests of a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort, or other select hotels. These select nights are
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours! While the dates are subject to change, these extended hours are usually offered at EPCOT on Monday nights and Magic Kingdom Park on Wednesday nights. Be sure that you take a look at the
Hours & Events Calendar leading up to your trip! While it doesn't appear that Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are available on April 15, 2023, there might be another day during your trip that this experience may be available. If you have tickets with the
Park Hopper Option and decide to "hop" to one of these parks, you will be able to access this 6:00 PM virtual queue without a specific theme park reservation (as long as you entered the first park that you
do have a theme park reservation for earlier in the day).
To make the most out of your vacation, you'll also want to make sure that you take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry. Guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels can enter the parks 30 minutes prior to the official opening time – just like magic! That's just one of the many benefits of staying at a
Disney Resort hotel. Also, take a little time to download and explore the
My Disney Experience app before you arrive! Not only will you be able to access virtual queues, but you can also check wait times for attractions and
mobile order food. This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun!
End of line,
Michelle
