We have a 9:30 am reservation at Be Our Guest. With two little kids in tow, & assuming a big crowd when the park opens, I'm nervous about getting there in time. Will the park let us in early (or will we just have to walk really fast to get there)?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stephanie!

No need to worry--you’ll have plenty of time to make it to your 9:30 a.m. reservation at Be Our Guest Restaurant. Did you know that Magic Kingdom Park opens its gates an hour earlier than its posted opening time? You’ll be limited to the area along Main Street, U.S.A., but here you’ll find some shops (such as the Emporium) and some restaurants (such as the Main Street Bakery) open for business before the Park officially opens for the day. You should also have plenty of time to see the Let the Magic Begin welcome show which takes place on the Cinderella Castle stage five minutes before the Magic Kingdom Park attractions open. It’s only about a 2-3 minute walk from the front of Cinderella Castle to Be Our Guest restaurant, so you’ll still have plenty of time to make your way there. (I would recommend staying to the left of Cinderella Castle and using the walkway next to Sleepy Hollow to enter Fantasyland, although the path to the right of the Castle will get you there just as quickly.)

Enjoy your breakfast at Be Our Guest Restaurant, Stephanie. My family and I love sitting in the Ballroom (the main dining room), but make sure you take some time before you leave to check out all of the other rooms--especially the West Wing!

In the meantime, please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We hope to see you real soon!
