If I have an 8 AM reservation for Be Our Guest Restaurant and am driving to MK on 09/14 (monday), will I be able to park my car and make it on time to the entrance? MK opens at 9 AM. What time doest the parking lot open? and monorail? thanks

Tania, I know what we're going to do today! While the monorail hours have frequently changed in the past few months due to enhancements, and may change at any time in the future, I'm going to share current hours so you can make plans to complete your breakfast mission. Luckily, my daughter, her Perry the Platypus plush and I went on a Phineas and Ferb-style secret mission this past weekend to investigate the best way to reach an early morning Magic Kingdom Park breakfast like yours.

On the morning of our breakfast mission, we drove our car to the Transporation and Ticket Center. The Cast Member stationed at the Magic Kingdom Park gate gave us important information - the parking lot at this location opens two hours before the first park opens each day. Once we parked and walked to the Transportation and Ticket Center, we found the large signs that inform Guests of that day's hours for each form of transportation. The picture I took that morning showed a 7:00 a.m. opening of the Resort monorail, an 8:00 a.m. Epcot monorail opening, and an 8:30 a.m. opening of the Express monorail and ferry. I spoke with Cast Members at the monorail entrance and they reported to me that these hours will change when there is a morning Extra Magic Hour. The Epcot monorail opening will move to 7:00 a.m. when that park has an Extra Magic Hour. When Magic Kingdom Park has an Extra Magic Hour, the Express monorail and ferry opening moves to 7:30 a.m., while the Resort monorail remains at 7:00 a.m.

We arrived at the Transporation and Ticket Center at 7:20 a.m. and had more than enough time to take the Resort monorail over for our 8:00 a.m. breakfast. Dr. Doofenschmirtz even tried to foil our plans while we were on the monorail with a stand-clear-of-the-doors-inator, preventing our doors from fully closing. Never to be deterred, Agent P arrived on the scene to get the door closed and we were quickly on our way.

Wait, I just realized something ... Where was Perry?
