Hi Shelly, and welcome to planDisney! As the designated planner in my family when it comes to Disney days, I’m thrilled to help you navigate park reservations for your crew. I know larger groups can be a bit tricky, but with a little know-how, you’ll have it all sorted out in no time!
It sounds like you’re asking about making park reservations for your family. Currently, the maximum number of tickets that can be linked to a single
MyDisney account is 10. If your group, including yourself, is within that limit, you’ll be able to make reservations for everyone with ease. However, if your group exceeds 10 people, you’ll need to split the tickets between at least two accounts, with each account managing reservations for its assigned group. The good news? This process is simple in the
Disneyland app! Just open the app, tap the three-bar menu in the bottom-right corner, and select “Tickets & Passes.” From there, you can scan each ticket’s barcode or manually enter the Barcode ID under “Type ID.” Be sure that everyone responsible for making reservations follows these steps, and you’ll be all set! If you run into any hiccups, a friendly Cast Member at a ticket booth in the Esplanade will be happy to assist.
One important detail, Shelly; if all tickets are linked to a single account, that person must be present when scanning into the park. To keep things flexible, I highly recommend that everyone in your group downloads the Disneyland app. This way, each ticket can be linked to both your MyDisney account and their individual accounts, ensuring easy access for everyone. And trust me, the app is a must-have for more than just tickets! It’s your go-to tool for checking attraction wait times, browsing entertainment schedules, and, perhaps most importantly, placing mobile food orders when that Disneyland appetite strikes.
Now, with a group as big as yours, I’ve got a few Q-Tips to make sure everyone has a blast experiencing attractions together. First up, there’s nothing quite like filling an entire boat on
Pirates of the Caribbean. It’s practically a rite of passage for large groups! Another group-friendly favorite is
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, where one of your family members might even get chosen as the Rebel Spy (talk about bragging rights!). And if your crew is craving some thrills,
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is a must. It’s also the perfect ride to capture a mid-drop photo with hair flying, hands in the air, and all-out laughter. If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxed, the
Disneyland Railroad offers a scenic way to take in the sights of the park from the comfort of a classic steam-powered train.
If you have any additional questions as you plan your visit, Shelly, please don’t hesitate to stop by planDisney again. We’re always happy to help!
Wishing you a magical visit,
David
