Hey Howdy Hey, Anne! It sounds like you're going to "
reach for the sky" during your upcoming trip next week! I'd love to give you some advice to ensure you have the best time possible in Andy's Backyard.
I booked
Disney Early Morning Magic in Toy Story Land for our family trip last month, and boy was I grateful that I did! The temperatures were scorching that week, but at that hour of the day, they felt pleasantly breezy. I'd recommend being at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel bus stop by 6:30 AM to get there in time, especially if you'd like to grab a bite to eat first; however, breakfast is served until 10:00 AM, so if you'd rather hold off on the Chicken and Donuts til after your multiple rides on Slinky Dog Dash, you are more than welcome to.
In my experience, we arrived at
Disney's Hollywood Studios a little after 7:00 AM, and were issued a wristband for the event at check-in. By 7:15 AM, we were walking through the Park entrance and boarded Toy Story Mania! at 7:25 AM. If you need a little caffeine before hitting that rootin' tootin' shootin' gallery, there is a coffee station set up right next to Woody's Lunch Box. By 8:55 AM, we had ridden
Toy Story Mania! twice,
Alien Swirling Saucers once, and
Slinky Dog Dash three times. Once the rope drop crowds arrived at 9:00 AM, Slinky Dog's posted wait time was 120 minutes!
Most Guests, including those with 7:00 AM reservations, waited until 9:00 AM to head to breakfast at
Backlot Express. The hands-down favorite in my family was the Fried Chicken and Cinnamon-Sugar French Donut Bowl with Sweet Potato Tots, but I also enjoyed the Mexican Corn Chilaquiles and Egg Bowl. Continental breakfast offerings such as yogurt, fruit, and cereal are also available.
If you need any more help before your trip, Anne, remember
you've got a friend in me!
